Meet the Nubian Reines

At the heart of Nubian Reines are three young queens Zhenga (a South African name), Morowa (Ghanaian) and Thema (Egyptian), each representing a different skin tone and natural hair texture. Their names were chosen deliberately: each means 'queen' in a different African language, so that regardless of how a child looks, she can find herself in one of them.

Each queen has her own specialist school subject and creative interests, making them role models as well as icons.

Introducing Nubian Reines

As a household we know representation dictates how others see you but most importantly, how you see yourself and as Nubian Reines means Nubian Queens, we aim to assist as you celebrate the Queen in you.

We want to encourage you to practise and embrace your creative and educational talents, just like our Nubian Queens embrace theirs.
